Reading

I have grown to enjoy reading books over the past couple of years when I came across topics that I find really interesting. Though I am a slow reader, I find it manageable to read roughly a book a month. If you are just starting to read books (or maybe you are an experienced reader), I would highly recommend reading “The Compound Effect” By Darren Hardy as it has been the foundation of many success principles.

On the right, you’ll see a list of few books that I found beneficial and interesting. Their topics range anywhere from business to personal growth and psychology to leadership.

Podcasts/Audios

Podcasts and audios have been one of my main sources of wisdom and motivation. “Audio before radio” is my little saying that I try to live by. What this basically means is to listen to at least 1 audio/podcast before listening to the radio or music.

I would say this has been my most effective habit. Listening to audios and podcasts has enabled me to use my non-productive time more efficiently. For example, during my gym sessions or runs, I usually like to listen to a podcast. Since I drive pretty frequently, I have an audio playing in the background.

Health & Fitness

Health is so often a top priority for people yet so few actually pursue it. I personally believe people would want to pursue their fitness goals when the journey becomes fun. I know that pain isn’t usually “fun” but the results are absolutely worth the pain.

Try doing this. Try going on a run where the scenery is beautiful. This run could be at a beach, a hike, or at a park.

On My Spare Time I Enjoy...

Sightseeing beautiful areas and capturing the scene. As you could probably assume, photography tags alone my sightseeing interest.

Learning about the latest technology is also a huge interest of mine. I recently learned that I enjoy learning about this because technology makes our lives more convenient, and who doesn’t enjoy convenience in their lives?

Lastly, I really have grown to enjoy chess. My dad taught me how to play at a young age and I occasionally get the pleasure to play him to this day.
